Freeholders recognize Law Enforcement Week
FREEHOLD, NJ – In honor of Law Enforcement Week, the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders recognized the approximately 900,000 law enforcement officers serving in communities across the United States.

“Members of various law enforcement agencies of Monmouth County play an essential role in safeguarding the rights and freedom of our citizens,” said Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden. “They recognize their duty to serve the people of Monmouth County by protecting life and property, by protecting them against violence and disorder.”
Since 1791, almost 20,000 law enforcement officers in the United States have made the ultimate sacrifice and National Law Enforcement Officers Week pays special recognition to those officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
“During Law Enforcement Week, and throughout the year, the County of Monmouth recognizes and appreciates the critical contributions and sacrifices made by members of law enforcement at all levels,” said Freeholder Lillian G. Burry. “We commend their courage and dedication to their communities.”
“The Board of Chosen Freeholders salute the service of law enforcement officers in our county and commend the many contributions they have made to our County,” added Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone.
