County schedules five public budget sessions
Freeholders seek to trim 2010 spending plan further 
prior to its adoption

FREEHOLD, NJ – The Board of Chosen Freeholders has scheduled five public budget sessions to gather information from department heads as well as Monmouth County residents.
 
Budget workshop meetings will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19; from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, and from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26. All three meetings will be held in the conference room on the second floor of the Hall of Records, Main Street.
 
Public hearings on the budget have been scheduled for March. The first will be at 7 p.m. March 2 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan, and the second will be at 7 p.m. March 9 at the Eastern Branch Library in Shrewsbury.
 
The public is invited to attend all five of these meetings. There will be one additional public hearing prior to the scheduled budget adoption on March 11.
