Frequent high-speed passenger ferry service to Manhattan and Jersey City are available daily from terminals in The Borough of Highlands, The Borough of Atlantic Highlands, Middletown Township and seasonally in Sandy Hook.

NY Waterway provides service from the Belford Terminal in Middletown Township and offers Senior Citizen discounted tickets, as well as children’s tickets for children age 6-11. Every paying adult is permitted to bring two children age 5 and under for free. A free shuttle is available between the parking lot and Belford Terminal, and NY Waterway offers a free bus service to a number of locations in lower and midtown Manhattan.

Seastreak provides service from the Borough of Atlantic Highlands, and Borough of Highlands. Additionally during the summer season Seastreak offers service directly to and from Sandy Hook where a shuttle is available between the ferry terminal and all Sandy Hook beaches.

Ticketing

Seastreak tickets can be purchased by phone, at terminals’ ticketing offices, or on-board ferries. Currently, Seastreak’s commuter ticketing options must be purchased in person at a terminal but they are working to make them and all other ticketing options available online in the near future.

 

NY Waterway tickets can be purchased online at their website NYWaterway.com, on their mobile app, and on sight at their ferry terminals.

Bicycles amenities are available at all year-round Monmouth County ferry terminals, and bicycles are permitted aboard ferries for a surcharge of $5.00 for Seastreak or $3.00 for NY Waterway.

NY Waterway App

NY Waterway services travel out of the New Bedford Ferry Terminal in Middletown. Their phone application allows for purchasing and displaying tickets, displaying route and terminal maps, viewing schedules, provides alerts and notifications, and provides the location of NY Waterway shuttle services. It is available for Android and Apple Devices.
